Battle Types

Brawl Stars battles are categorized into four main formats based on their structure:

  • 3v3 Team (78 battles) - Team-based modes including Gem Grab, Brawl Ball, Heist, Bounty, Hot Zone, Knockout, and Siege. Two teams of 3 players compete with mode-specific objectives. Win/loss is determined by match outcome.
  • Solo Showdown (42 battles) - 10-player free-for-all battle royale. Players compete individually to be the last one standing. Placing 1st-4th counts as a win, 5th-10th as a loss. Trophies are awarded based on final rank.
  • Duo Showdown (8 battles) - 5-team battle royale where players team up with a partner. Teams of 2 compete to be the last team standing. Placing 1st-2nd counts as a win, 3rd-5th as a loss.
  • Special Events (0 battles) - Rotating special game modes including Big Game, Robo Rumble, Boss Fight, Super City Rampage, and limited-time events. Each has unique objectives and win conditions.

Match Types

Each battle has a match type that determines how it affects your progression:

  • Trophy Matches (113 battles) - Standard battles where trophies are gained or lost based on performance. This is the primary way to progress brawlers and climb the leaderboards.
  • Solo Ranked (10 battles) - Competitive solo queue mode where you're matched individually and placed on teams. Earn or lose rank points based on performance. Features draft picking and competitive matchmaking.
  • Team Ranked (0 battles) - Competitive team mode where you queue with teammates. Same ranking system as Solo Ranked but requires coordinated team play.
  • Challenge (0 battles) - Special limited-time competitive events with escalating rewards. You have a limited number of losses before being eliminated. Challenges rotate periodically and often feature unique modifiers or rewards.
  • Friendly (4 battles) - Practice matches between friends or club members. No trophies or ranking points are gained or lost. Ideal for testing strategies and having fun without competitive pressure.

Deku's battle log includes 10 Solo Ranked battles in competitive modes.

Trophy Changes

Trophy gains and losses vary based on the brawler's current trophy count. At lower trophy counts, wins award more trophies and losses cost fewer. As trophy count increases, the system becomes more punishing - wins award fewer trophies while losses cost more.

Deku's tracked battles show a net change of +134 trophies, averaging +1.05 per battle. Despite a sub-50% win rate, trophy gains may exceed losses due to playing at lower trophy ranges where wins are more rewarding.

Star Player Performance

The Star Player award is given to the best-performing player in 3v3 matches (excluding Showdown). It's determined by various factors including damage dealt, healing done, objectives completed, and overall contribution to the team.

Deku has earned 9 Star Player awards across 128 tracked battles (7.0% rate). Use the "Star Player" filter to view only battles where Deku was the Star Player.

Battle Duration

Average battle duration: 2:01 (based on 77 battles with duration data). Battle length varies significantly by mode - Showdown matches tend to be longer while 3v3 modes have time limits.
